Current Research

Beth Larry is a national program leader at the Forest Service's Washington DC headquarters. Beth provides national leadership in bringing Forest Service urban forestry and socio-ecological knowledge together to inform urban sustainability in policy and practice. Urban natural resources stewardship is a priority research area for the Forest Service - our science is helping communities across the globe transition to a sustainable future. Critical research is advancing knowledge of urban trees and forestry resources, urban ecology, ecosystem services and values, watershed rehabilitation, human health and well-being, urban wood utilization, and green infrastructure.
