Control and Management
Control and Eradication
There is a critical need for information on biologically based controls that would be effective against gypsy moth from other world areas. Several good options exist for use against North American gypsy moth but it was not know if they would be equally effective against gypsy moths from other world areas. The early emphasis was placed on available biocontrol agents capable of high degrees of suppression (e. g. Bacillus thuringiensis and Gypcheck®) but longer term control (e. g. Entomophaga maimaiga) was also important to evaluate.
- Efficacy of Entomophaga maimaiga
- Efficacy of Bacillus thuringiensis
- Efficacy of Gypchek®
- Pathogenicity of geographic isolates of Lymantria dispar multiple nucleopolyhedrovirus: against European and Asian gypsy moth strains
