Baltimore Department of Planning, Office of Sustainability. 2015. Green pattern book: using vacant land to create greener neighborhoods in Baltimore. NRS-INF-32-15. Newtown Square, PA: U.S. Department of Agriculture, Forest Service, Northern Research Station. 109 p.

_____________

Baltimore's Green Registry - publicly accessible, interactive map that allows City agencies, NGOs, community-based organizations, and individual residents to register and map their own greening activities on vacant land

Tools

Urban Tree Canopy (UTC) tools help decision makers understand their urban forest resources. UTC assessments quantify the amount of tree canopy that currently exists and the amount that could exist in terms of land use and ownership. UTC Prioritization help stakeholders prioritize where to plant or conserve trees and build partnerships. UTC Marketing Analysis is used to track and evaluate where implementation of prioritization strategies have been most effective in terms of place and people.

_____________

STEW-MAP seeks to answer: Who, what, where, why and how are environmental stewardship groups working across the urban landscape?

_____________

i-Tree software helps communities of all sizes to strengthen their urban forest management and advocacy efforts by quantifying the structure of community trees and the environmental services that trees provide.
