Current Research
My research is mainly conducted in the urban-rural continuum from Baltimore City to the surrounding metropolitan and rural areas. As a Co-PI in the Baltimore Ecosystem Study, part of NSF's Long-Term Ecological Research Network, I work in partnership with collaborators from a variety of institutions. I mostly focus my efforts on the storage of carbon in urban landscapes, and on the influence of land use and management decisions on soil chemical properties.
